God's Wisdom is Transferable

Midweek Messages (2).png

Last Sunday, I spoke about how the genius of Jesus also known as “God’s wisdom” and how is transferable into us if we stay connected to the vine.

Thus, if we mature in our faith and stay connected to God, God’s  wisdom will blossom in us.

So, what is God's wisdom?

Well, if you look up the definition for wisdom, you’ll find this:

“Knowledge of what is true or right coupled with action”

You see, we can have all the knowledge of what is good and right stored in our brains, but if we don’t apply it to action, we don’t have wisdom.

That's why at Beach Church I talk a lot about how the bible is more than an history book but an operational handbook. As, we want to walk out God’s wisdom in our daily life. In order to experience the victorious life He planned for us.

In Psalm 111 its written that we “grow in wisdom” when we obey God.

In James 3:13–18, godly wisdom is explained in detail:

“If you are wise and understand God’s ways, prove it by living an honorable life, doing good works with the humility that comes from wisdom. But if you are bitterly jealous and there is selfish ambition in your heart, don’t cover up the truth with boasting and lying. For jealousy and selfishness are not God’s kind of wisdom. Such things are earthly, unspiritual, and demonic. For wherever there is jealousy and selfish ambition, there you will find disorder and evil of every kind. But the wisdom from above is first of all pure. It is also peace loving, gentle at all times, and willing to yield to others. It is full of mercy and the fruit of good deeds. It shows no favoritism and is always sincere.”

This passage is full of rich actionable wisdoms so let’s break it down:

Honorable — We show honor to everyone.

Humble — We don’t draw attention to ourselves.

Selfless — We think of others more than we think of ourselves.

Pure — We strive to have untarnished motives.

Peace-loving — We agree to respectfully disagree.

Gentle — We consider the feelings of others before acting.

Merciful — We give second chances because they’ve been given to us.

Impartial — We show fairness to all we encounter.

Sincere — We are authentic, honest, and full of integrity.

The more we keep plugged into the kingdom and connected to the vine the more his wisdom (genius) flows into us as we're the branches.

The added bonus of being connected to the vine is that He's always busy using His cutting shears to prune back weeds in our life whether it be sin, hurts, resentments or removing our old masks so that the full nutrimental value of His wisdom is experienced in our life.

That's the Genius of Jesus is that His wisdom is transferable not just in knowledge but that it leads us into actionable wisdom. So, that we can go fulfill the great commission and share the good news.

Have a super day!
