Cabo Beach Church’s has a two pronged approach towards fulfilling the commission of helping the poor.
Cabo Beach Church’s first initiative is to provide basic life staples from food, clothing and faith based instruction and support. Our vehicles to do this is through our Cabo Beach co-sponsored community kitchen with FLCK and through the Los Cabos Senior Center.
Cabo Beach Church’s second strategy is to help break the chains of generational poverty by scholarships for educational and vocational training programs. Our vehicles to do this is through an organization called “Escuela de Turismo CROC”
COMMUNITY KITCHEN “COMEDOR DE JIRETH”
Cabo Beach Church provides financial and spiritual support to this very anointed community kitchen that provides meals to families in a very economically challenged community in Los Cabos. Most homes in this community don’t have indoor plumbing nor electricity.
The kitchen provides meals 5 x a week as well spiritual food from daily Bible studies, counseling and a church service on Sundays. Pastor Rick and Paloma have been involved in this kitchen for 16 years. Pastor Rick and Paloma have preached and taught there for years.
SENIOR CENTER “CLUB DE ABUELOS SAN MIGUEL”
Cabo Beach supports supports the Los Cabos Senior Center financially and spiritually.
The Senior Center is a valuable resource for seniors who are economically challenged and wanting to stay engaged in life.
The Senior Center provides meals as well as different activities. Pastor Rick’s wife Paloma teaches a bible based devotional there 2 x a month.
VOCATIONAL PROGRAMS
Cabo Beach Church provides scholarships. We have now partnered with a vocational school that trains people for hotel careers. The organization is called “Escuela de Turismo CROC”
We believe our new initiative will help break the chains of poverty and be a model we can scale that also compliments our food ministries to help God provide basic needs like food, clothing and shelter. And now a training school to break chains of generational poverty.
See above pics: CROC created hotel room models at their school to train people for jobs in room service, restaurants, front desk, etc. All positions that greatly improve one’s income.
Upon graduating, the vocational program presents each student with a diploma and then helps them find gainful employment at hotels, restaurants or service companies.
Most of the students never went to school past age 12, so the confidence they get is so beautiful and encouraging for them, their families and communities.
Cabo Beach Church is currently providing 14 scholarships and plans to add to this number by May, 2025.
BOYS AND GIRLS CLUB OF BCS
Cabo Beach Church financially supports this amazing generational poverty chain breaking organization that is equipping youths through after school educational classes and tutoring in technology, language, science and mathematics as well as arts, dancing, music and many more to equip them for the future.
