He Sings Over You
We tend to picture God as mighty, powerful, holy—and He is. But Zephaniah 3:17 offers us an image that is both tender and profound: a God who sings.
It says He is with us, that He saves us, and that He takes great delight in us. Not small delight. Great delight. He rejoices over us with gladness, and even more—He sings over us! Not just as a poetic expression, but as a truth about His heart.
Think about it: when someone sings over you, it’s personal. It means joy, connection, love. That is how your Father feels about you. Not frustrated. Not disappointed. Rejoicing.
When you carry this truth into your day, your heart begins to soften. You breathe easier. You stop trying so hard to be worthy and instead begin to rest in the love already given.
Prayer:
God, it’s hard to imagine You singing over me—but I choose to believe it today. Help me receive Your love without walls. Let Your song quiet my fears and fill me with peace. I want to live knowing I am seen, known, and deeply loved.
Journaling Prompt:

Joy Prompt:
Close your eyes and imagine God singing a love song over you today.
