Joy Comes to Stay
Joy isn’t always loud. Sometimes it’s quiet and steady, like a heartbeat that keeps you going. After a hard season, the idea of dancing again can feel distant—but that’s exactly what Psalm 30:11 promises.
God turns mourning into dancing. He removes the weight of sorrow and dresses us in joy. That means joy isn’t fleeting. It isn’t a moment. It’s a divine exchange.
We have talked about it on Beach Church, you may still have scars. You may still have unanswered prayers. But you also have a Savior who knows how to hold sorrow and joy in the same hands—and teach you to do the same. Amen!
So today, choose celebration. Put on joy like a garment. Let yourself laugh again. Sing. Dance. Rejoice. Not because life is perfect, but because God is always good.
Prayer:
Lord, thank You for turning my mourning into joy. Even when my heart is tender, You help me smile again. Let joy rise within me, not because of my circumstances, but because of Your presence. Teach me to celebrate all the beauty You’re restoring.
Journaling Prompt:
Where is God restoring joy in your life right now? What small victories can you celebrate today?
Joy Prompt:
Dance, sing, smile—let yourself celebrate God’s goodness today.
